The gear box (1) is provided with an auxiliary drive (14) for the synchronizing of the gear changes and the auxiliary drive is assigned a change-over system (15). By means of which the auxiliary drive is individually couplable with each of the gearbox input shafts (6,7). The auxiliary drive is designed and arranged in such a manner, that it can be used additionally a braking assistance and-or as a starter.
