The device has two telescopic rods engaging on the milling slider (6) or on an adapted finishing head. The co-moving telescopic rod fixing points (1) which can be coupled to the milling unit when required form a stable framework structure with the fixed telescopic rod fixing points (2) which are on the slide or on the guide body thereof. The co-moving telescopic rod fixing points can also be fixedly connected to the cross slide.
