Cylinder head (1) has electromagnetic actuators (4,4') for controlling gas changing valves (2,3) which are positioned at peripheral regions of cylinders (6), e.g. in diametric opposition to one another. Gas changing valves and electromagnetic actuators for one cylinder are rotated through given angle relative to gas changing valves and electromagnetic actuators of adjacent cylinder, to allow actuators to lie close to one another.
