In the fast-running piston motor, all the crankshaft bearings (23-26) are deployed axially between the two outermost throws (18,22) of the crankshaft, so that each of the axially outermost crankshaft throws (18,22) has a floating bearing. Only one connecting rod (12-16) is at each crankshaft throw (18-22).
