The lifting system includes a lifting ram (16) guided in a column frame (14), for the reception of the heavy load, several electric motor working vertical drives (18) are arranged between the column frame (14) and the lifting ram (16). A synchronizing unit (20) is provided for synchronizing the vertical movement of the vertical drives (18). The vertical drives (18) respectively engage at the lifting ram (16) across a spindle nut (28), has a threaded spindle drive designed pref. as a ball thread drive.
