The assembly for the transportation of pipes, with longitudinal welds, has a roller path (3) with a pallet (4) between the rollers and the pipe (2). The roller path is on a swing mounting to pivot across the direction of pipe movement. The swing movement for the roller path is through a trapezoidal rod (6) with fixed upper rotating points (7,8). The lower rotating points (9,10) are at the swing roller path.
