摘要
A continually-operated assembly mixes multi-component fluids and has a mixer chamber (12,35,36) with an inlet (4) and an outlet. The chamber has a mixer (10,10A,28) which is driven by magnetic force exerted from outside the chamber. The mixer is a ball (10,10A) or a cylinder (28) which moves in line with a moving magnetic field (6,37) around the chamber wall. The moving magnetic field is generated by a permanent magnet (6) located within a sleeve (5). The sleeve can be moved by a cog wheel forming part of a gear assembly, a pulley belt-drive, by a pneumatic impeller wheel, or an electric motor. The mixer chamber consists of two linked semi-hemispheres, one of which has the inlet passage, and the other half the outlet passage. The rear half of the mixer has up to five inlet passages, each with feed pipe union treads. The mixer ball or cylinder is dragged by magnetic force along an internal orbital path in contact with the circular or oval non-magnetic mixer chamber wall, generating its own rotational mixing action. Fluids can be introduced to the chamber by pressure or suction. A series of such mixer chambers may be linked in series. Such chambers may be operated at the same height or in a descending cascade.
