The decorative wall covering (1) is a nonwoven material of natural fibers such as hemp, together with some fusible thermoplastic fibers (7). An extruded plastics film support structure (2) is bonded to the wall (4) surface by an adhesive (3), to present a surface with projecting supports (5), to lock into the inner surface structure (6) of the wall covering (1). The wall covering (1) is hung in place by heat and pressure, to lock the wall supports (5) into the covering surface (6) and fuse the synthetic fibers (7) for added adhesion.
