The sealing steam feed unit has a system to reduce the steam temperature by added water, with a control valve each in the steam and also in the water feed channels. A sealing steam cooler is clamped in place between two flanges. The cooler has a diffuser passage for the sealing steam through it. A jet at the end of the water feed channel opens into the passage, at a defined point in the diffuser mantle surface.
