The system for mounting a pipe connector (2) in an air duct (1) comprises a seating (5) containing a sealing ring (6) which fits against one side of the duct wall. The outer lip (7) of the connector is curled back towards the other side of the duct wall and is pressed against it when the sealing ring is compressed. Independent claims are included for: (a) a method for producing the system; and (b) a device for carrying out the method.
