The vibration damping unit is designed, so that in the region (80,82) at least a first track arrangement (46) of the deflection mass carrier (16), is provided relatively with increased thickness to the defining surfaces (84,86,88,90). Also the region (80,82) of increased thickness, in the region of the at least one guide track arrangement, is formed of metal sheet pref. by crimping, at the deflection mass carrier.
