The vibration damping unit is designed so that the deflection mass carrier (16) has two carrier parts (26,28) forming a deflection mass chamber (36). So that at each of the carrier parts, a guide track section (48,48') of the first guide track arrangement (46) is provided. Each deflection mass (40) has a deflection mass body having the second guide track arrangement (56), lying between the two carrier parts (26,28).
