The hollow toothbrush handle (2) is composed of at least two shell sections (5,6). The sections (5,6) are placed in an injection mold, for plastics to be injected over at least part of the common joint between them, to bond them durably together. The handle sections are both of plastics, or one section can be of metal. The molded seam is of a thermoplastic material.
