Apparatus for detecting fluorescent light comprises a microscope unit (MU) and a device for analyzing molecular interaction in small volumes. Measuring sites for analyzing the molecular interaction are determined and selected using an image-forming process. The microscope unit and the analyzing device are operated using a common control unit. The results of from the device are displayed as images via a control unit and a computer. An independent claim is also included for a process for detecting light from an illuminated sample.
