The double lock cylinder has two housing parts (1) joined by a connecting piece (2) which bridges over a lock member between the housing parts. A dividing seam (4) is formed between the housing parts and the connecting piece. A profile engagement (5,7) in the area of the dividing seam braces against traction or pressure. The profile engagement forms particularly rounded inclined flanks (6). The profile engagement is formed by a projection extending out of the dividing plane, which engages in a corresponding pocket (8). The connecting piece forms a rib (12) locating in a groove-type recess (11) of a flange section of a housing part.
