Amorphous Ni alloy membrane for the separation / dissociation of hydrogen, production process and activation process thereof

A hydrogen separation and dissociation membrane is disclosed which comprises an amorphous alloy comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of Zr and Hf and Ni. The membrane has a high permeability only with respect to hydrogen, sufficient mechanical strength and structural stability in a hydrogen atmosphere, and it essentially does not require any noble metals such as Pd and the like.
