The clip board (1) has a clamp (2,3,4) for holding paper and other foldable materials. It clamps the sheets at a tip angle of approximately 180 degrees to the plane of the main sheet surface at a bent-over corner or edge of the sheet at the same angle. The board in the clamping area has a recess (6), in which the folded-over corner or edge of the sheet is located. The clamp device is located at a corner or edge or on the upper or lower side of the board. It is fixed to the board by a thread or wire e.g. of metal, plastic or natural material.
