A electronically commutated motor designed as a wet runner is fastened in rotation-proof fashion on a flange(2) located on the IC engine housing (1). The associated outside rotor (8) of the electronically commutated motor is connected in rotation-proof fashion with an impeller shaft (5) that can slide in the flange. The whole electric motor is sealed hermetically on the flange by a cover (10). At the same time, in the end wall of the flange is found a passage to the supply (18) of the coolant pump, a so-called coolant channel (17).
