The lateral transmissions (4,4a,4b) are changeable in at least two gear positions. The tracked vehicle has at least one drive motor and a gear changing and steering drive (2) as well as lateral transmissions (4a,4b) are designed as final drives on sprockets of both drive sides. Units (48,50, figure 3) and changing rod (3) are provided, which only allow the changing over at bot h lateral transmissions (4a,4b) with the respective applied parking lock (36) and the lateral transmissions (4a,4b) are changeable over on both drive sides only respectively in the same gear.
