Rollers (12) supported between the driving and driven side cam surfaces (13,14) of cam board (10) are held by the retainer (11). The rough surface of cam board is supported at the inner surface of support. The cam board and retainer are maintained in specific position relation with input shaft and input disc (2A), to maintain different rotational thrust between board and disc. The cam board is rotated by a drive unit such that input disc is rotated in synchronization with the cam board. The support is fixed to one end of the input shaft. A concave surface extends from the inner side of support. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) thrust measuring apparatus; (b) assembling method of toroidal type stepless transmission
