A photosensitive sensor device (11) includes a sensor array (13) whose extension is diagonal to the direction of movement of a code disk (8) and an illumination device (12). The code disk (8) is movable relative to the code disk (9), with both disks forming structures at an angle to each other. The structures produce spatial frequency superposition that forms an interference pattern on the sensor array. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) the use of the measuring equipment; (b) and a steering force support system.
