The pulsed converter operation involves calculating the effective power conducted to a network, and forming a feedback from one or more converters. For the adjustment of the generator power, the effective power conducted to the network is calculated by a controller, by using measured currents and voltages. From this, a feedback from one or more converters is formed for the generator side converter, for influencing the generator effective power. The currents and voltages may be needed for the control of the network-side converter, and are used to calculate the adjustment or correcting variables for the generator effective power.
