An X-ray radiation field setter (24) determines range of the visual field (S) of radiated X-ray based on the set image pick-up range. When the range of the visual field is larger than the image pick-up range, motor (4,12) are stopped and a selector (29) automatically chooses a single scanning operation. A spiral scanning is selected when visual field is smaller than the image pick up range.
