The valve has a valve ball (22) movable in a valve body (10), a valve seat (24) fixed beneath the body with a seat surface that can be in contact with the ball to open and close the valve, a fuel passage (28) within the seat and an arrangement (20) for forcing the ball in the closing direction. The valve seat has a guide part (24c) that accepts the ball and is of width up to 60 microns larger than ball dia. so that the ball can slide within the guide part. An Independent claim is also included for a fuel supply system.
