Includes a dielectric substrate (2) having a parallelepiped shape and a radiation electrode (3) having a meandering pattern disposed on the surface of the dielectric pattern. The meandering radiation electrode is constructed in which first and second electrode units (3a, 3b) that have meandering pitches are connected in series. The meandering radiation electrode is formed over a front face (2a), a major face (2e), and a end surface (2c). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a surface mount antenna for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves in at least two different frequency bands.
