A microwave oven comprises a hollow chamber with a certain region for the cooking, a magnetron attached to the outside of the hollow chamber to generate microwaves plus a wave guide which is attached to the side of the magnetron, its end extending into the hollow chamber to transmit microwaves into the hollow chamber.
