A printing machine has a supply of sheets of paper which are advanced towards an end-stop (24) by a blower unit (22). The sheets rest on a holder (26) which may be adjusted to conform to the dimensions of the paper in use. The position of the blower and end-stop are adjustable with respect to the holder. A switch (39) detects the degree to which the paper stack has moved.
