The wall (1) has at least two prefabricated wall panels (2,2'), each with several rows of blocks. Reinforcement rods (6) are provided in at least one bearing joint (5) between rows of blocks, extending over the length of the rows. The reinforcement rods are at least partly surrounded by mortar or an adhesive layer to join the overlying blocks. Preferably, the blocks are lime-sand bricks. At least one wall panel has reinforcement loops (7) at at least one face projecting opposite the blocks. At least one vertical rod (11) passes through the loop opening. The reinforcement loops and the vertical rods are embedded in mortar, concrete or a similar cast mass. The wall panels have vertical channels (8b), which are spaced inside the blocks. The reinforcement loops each engage a vertical channel of an adjacent wall panel, which has transverse openings extending at least as far as a vertical channel, for the reinforcement loops. The vertical rods are arranged inside the vertical channels, which is filled with mortar.
