X-ray fluorescence spectrometer for X-ray sample analysis has correction calculator that corrects numerical value of pulses based on fixed counting time in response to generated selection signal
X-ray fluorescence spectrometer for X-ray sample analysis has correction calculator that corrects numerical value of pulses based on fixed counting time in response to generated selection signal
A counter (15) measures time for a divider (14) to detect numerical value of selected pulses. A frequency divider (16) sets a selection signal for each scanning interval in a coupling unit. A correction calculator (11) reads the determined numerical value of the pulses and the counted time in response to the selection signal, to correct the numerical value of the pulses based on a fixed counting time, in response to the generated selection signal. An X-ray source (4) irradiates an X-ray (3) to a sample (1) in a sample holder (2) to emit a sample fluorescence X-ray (5). A spectral device (6) performs the monochromatic operation of the fluorescence X-ray from the sample. A detector (8) determines the monochromated fluorescence X-ray (7) through the spectral device to produce the pulses of a voltage proportional to the energy of the fluorescence X-ray in a number proportional to the fluorescence X-ray intensity. The coupling unit (10) combines the actuation of the detector and the spectral device in order to continuously scan the sample. A pulse intensity analyzer (13) selects the pulses that falls within an enclosed vicinity. An Independent claim is also included for an X-ray diffractometer.
