An implantable organ support system comprises a heart-lung machine, with a dialysis function, which can be placed in the cardiopulmonal bypass. The system has a replacement liver, and hybrid kidneys, and has an energy storage and conversion unit. The system also incorporates para- or extra corporal implements with additional functions, e.g. primary electro units, compressed air units and heat energy units, e.g. for a fully transplantable heart-lung machine.
