The dielectric oven (10) includes: (a) a number of electrically conducting lateral walls (16) connected in series so as to define a heating cavity (14), at least two of the walls are inclined towards each other, and; (b) an electro-magnetic power source (12) which feeds the cavity with a polarized circular wave so that the cavity acts as a multi-mode heating cavity.
