A CPU (27) deduces speed and acceleration from engine revolutions (RPMs) for the main body of a forklift truck. A counter (22) records RPMs. As the main body of the forklift truck starts to stop, a direction lever adjusts into a neutral position (23). A gas pedal part (21) records the gas pedal in an off-status, in order to be able to keep the speed of the truck low in relation to the speed and acceleration of the main body if it slides down a slope because of an error in applying the parking brake.
