This paper reviews the basic principle of the parallel moving mechanism of telescopic forklift truck, discusses the condition keeping the forks parallel moving, analyses the parameters affecting the accuracy of parallel moving and establishes themodel of the parallel moving error. With applying enumerating method, the paper finds the optimum values of initial installing angles of the truck's cylinders.
