The braking force distribution control procedure involves limiting the amount of pressure reduction at the time of anti-skid control prohibition, when vehicle is in direct coupling four wheel drive mode. The braking force distribution control procedure involves limiting the pressure reduction control. An electronic controller (30) depending upon the velocity of the four wheels measured by a sensor (31), controls the hydraulic pressure unit of wheel cylinder. The electronic controller performs the braking force distribution control during anti-skid control prohibition, when vehicle is in direct coupling four wheel drive mode.
