The end face jaw clutch comprises two coupling halves both with jaws(6,7) and jaw spaces(8). The bottom surfaces(19,22) of the jaw spaces in circumferential section are inclined at an angle(20) in the circumferential direction so that they rise towards the supporting flank faces. The angle of inclination is approximately equal to the friction angle between the jaws and bottom surface.
