The automatic pre-charging device carries out a pre-charging process with a constant delay time after the last burst-operation, and without regard to an external clock-signal, when an internal pre-charge command for the write-read procedures is supplied. A delay device outputs a signal for re-starting the write process after a constant delay time which is blocked during a read process and switched open during a write process. A device generates a RAS-signal without a delay-time when an external pre-charge command signal is supplied, but with a delay-time as an answer to the signal for re-start of the write process.
