In the collecting method and the collecting device for collecting foam gas generated from foamed heat insulating material, as well as in a processing method and a processing device for disposal materials, the disposal materials 1, which contain the foamed heat insulating material 5, are used to separate the foam gas contained in the foamed heat insulating material into one first and a second shredder 3 and 17 respectively. The separated foam gas is collected by a collection device 29, the concentration of separated combustible gas being measured in order to control the loading of the disposal materials 1 and the foamed thermal insulation material 5 into the first and second shredding machines 3 and 17 depending on the measured concentration, whereby the foam gas is collected with high efficiency, while the concentration of the combustible gas is appropriately controlled in a simple manner and the feed amount is appropriately controlled depending on the concentration of the combustible gas contained therein.
