The profiled element for the construction of an elongated wall section of a motor vehicle's body has when viewed in the cross sectional direction first and second side wall sections(12B) extending perpendicularly to a transversely extending direction of the elongated wall section so as to define the opposite lying sides of the profiled element. First and second bottom wall sections(12F) extend parallel to the transversely extending direction of the elongated wall section and are connected to the first and second wall sections along their adjoining ends.
