The solenoid valve (100) has a plunger housing (122) with 2 fluid connection paths controlled by a movable plunger (136). The plunger can be moved into a pressure venting position when a given pressure level is exceeded, for overcoming the magnetic force acting on the plunger, during the energizing of the solenoid valve, allowing it to move into a de-energized position in which fluid flow through one path is permitted, while fluid flow through the other path is blocked. An Independent claim for a stabilizing system for an automobile is also included.
