Balancer shaft for internal combustion engine, comprising integrated joint elements for connecting complementary units to balancing mass to give cylindrical profile for minimum splashing of oil
The balancer shaft (1) for an internal combustion engine. It is assembled using the mass units (2,3) and three cylindrical bearing units (12-14). It has integrated joint elements (6,7), which can be designed in the shape of bridges (8,9) to be inserted into matching recesses (15,16) positioned at the lower side of the lightweight complementary units (4,5). The complimentary units are added in order to create a cylindrical surface for the avoidance of splashing of the lubricating oil. They can also be joined using tongues and grooves in the mass units and the complimentary units respectively.
