The multi-purpose vehicle has a point conversion capability and consists of two functioning planes lying vertically one above the other. A self-supporting frame(1) is supported on four driving wheels and as an independent unit is rigidly connected to front and rear all-wheel drive axles(4,15), this representing an unsprung first plane. A second frame(16) is sprung by pneumatic spring elements(28) with associated level control valves(44).
