The method involves checking a content maker indicating the content categories for content that is accessed any communication protocol supported within the system, and determining if the content is access-restricted, based on the content marker. If the content is determined to be access-restricted, the user is requested to input a password required for access to the content. Independent claims are included for an access control system, and for a computer program product on a machine-readable medium.
