The system has an exhaust gas feedback device feeding some exhaust gas back from the exhaust system to the induction system with inlet holes (23) for exhaust gas upstream of the point (13) at which the induction system (9) branches to the cylinders (3A-3D). The passages (12A-12D) between the inlet holes and the cylinder inlet openings are mutually independent and at least two are unequal while the volumes are equal or approximately equal.
