Purification device comprises a reduction container (4) for storing the ammonia to be fed to the exhaust gas connected to an exhaust gas pipe (1) via a supply line (7). The reduction container is held in a coupling device as part of the purification device and connected to the supply line via a coupling. One coupling part is connected to the coupling device and the other part to the reduction container. Both coupling parts can be adjusted to move in an axial direction to each other. Guides are used to guide the reduction container into a position to couple both coupling parts. Independent claims are also included for: (a) an apparatus for holding and closing a reduction container used in an exhaust gas purification device; and (b) a container for ammonia used in the exhaust gas purification device. Preferred Features: The coupling part connected to the coupling device is fixed so that it can be decoupled. The guides have a bayonet locking device.
