Device for anchoring profiled vertical and inclined glazing to buildings, especially to facades, comprises a glass locking element and a fixing device (4) for the side of the building. The glass locking element is designed as a flat holder (1) extending along the side of the profile glass. The end facing the building has a first stop (2) and on the outer side or head end of the holder there is a second removable stop (3) gripping the side. The holder is fixed to the building using the fixing device at a specified distance so that pressure, suction and tensile forces acting on the glass are dispersed and the holder is at least partly arranged between two sides of the profile glass which butt against each other.
