Full-scale fire tests were performed in order to find out how a glass facade of a certain construction would react when exposed to fire. During the tests emphasis was put on the study of temperatures and levels of heat radiation at important locations as well as give an idea as to the strength of the facade on the influence of external flame. The facade was tested against full-scale fire scenario and in total two tests were performed, one with only the inner facade and one with both inner and outer facades. The inner facade element consisted of one section of floatglass and one of toughened glass, whereas the outer consisted of a single section of toughened glass. The results of the tests were that the inner toughened facade stayed intact during both tests, while the inner floatglass section cracked and some small pieces fell out. The outer facade of toughened glass also cracked and the whole section fell out of the frame in small pieces. All experimental data are collected in the report. The tests were also filmed from two separate locations.
