The hydraulic master cylinder has an axial bore (100), with the primary end (101) of the bore opened out to a larger diameter, which is partially closed of by a guide collar (11), fixed to the body. The piston (3) slides through the guide collar and forms the end of the pressure chamber (4). A second sliding collar (6) is fitted round the piston and fits between the body and the guiding collar. A secondary spring (7) applies force to the sliding collar, which is of lower value than the primary force, to control the opening of the supply channel (21).
