Electromagnetic striker comprises electromagnetic sucker (10) having solenoid (12) enclosed in housing (14). Mobile polar plate (16) is placed in magnetic field created by solenoid. Striker comprises means restraining removal of plate by sliding it along axis (A) of solenoid when solenoid is active, and allows removal of plate when solenoid is not active. Means include bead, or half-bead, (20), attached to, and slightly extending from core (18) so as to work together with aperture (22) made opposite bead, in polar plate.
