A massaging unit with several elevated and recessed parts is attached to the instep area of the insole. The unit is made of a flexible synthetic material, is L-shaped and has a hole in the center in order to facilitate ventilation. The various protruding areas are shaped in accordance to the ideas of reflexology regarding the existence of corresponding areas at the sole of the foot and parts of the human body.
