The data blocks transmitted by transport channels are segmented into data segments associated with time segment of transmission time interval. Time segment has time period common to transport channels of composite channel. A data count is assigned to each data segment of same transport channel based on segmentation coefficient so that specific data segments of same data block have distinct data counts.
